ABOUT

The story of a cove.

Deniz Kızı Urla; a place where you stay, go into the sea and sit down to the table. The idea is as simple as the name: three experiences in the same cove, in one day.

WHY "COVE"

A mermaid belongs to both the water and the land.

This is where we take our name. On one side of us, Blue Flag sand; on the other, the table of Urla; and a day spent in between. Guests staying over and day visitors alike are part of the same cove, the same table. Our door is open to everyone.

The mermaid statue seated at the edge of the hotel eave: on a rock plinth, its tail hanging into the void; behind it a white façade, a wrought-iron balcony railing and trailing greenery

US

A hotel that began in Adana and dropped anchor in Urla.

Our hotel journey began in Adana, took shape in İzmir, and became a family business in this cove. We work with the warmth of a familiar home, not a large chain: a friendly face at the door, a familiar taste at the table.

The hotel restaurant hall: a wood-panelled ceiling, brass-armed pendant lamps, a few tables with cream armchairs and potted plants separating the tables

URLA

We're in Turkey's town of gastronomy.

Urla; a town of vineyards, olive groves and herbs, the calm face of İzmir opening onto the sea. This place gives us the table, the sea and the stillness; and we pass them on to our guests.

The Gulf of İzmir from the hotel window: calm water, the hills of the far shore and a settlement spread across the slope; to the right of the window, the wave mural on the wall and a lit brass reading lamp

What we care about

Stillness
the pace of the cove; no hurry.
The table
local, seasonal, simple.
Openness
those who stay and those who come for the day, at the same table.

The best thing is to come and see.

Set aside a day; leave the rest to the cove.
